Sierra took a great series of photos with the Peach trees in bloom. Let's hope there will be no more hard freezes. Looks like a lot of potential peaches.
Matsuri 2013
1000 Origami Cranes at Phoenix Matsuri Japanese Festival. 2/24/2013. Sierra took a lot of nice photos. Although windy, we had a great time. Sierra was overjoyed at taking photos of all the people doing Cosplay. We got some very good food at a good price. And of course had to get some Cream Pan from the Bakery stall. Mmmmm.
Sierra goes to the Rene Faire
Sierra went to the Renaissance festival with a group of friends. Sue helped her get into character. That of a Gypsy girl.
Sierra turns 15
Sierra and some friends enjoy pizza after a movie for her 15th. birthday party.
Too Many Peaches
This is the second year for our peach trees, The first crop was completely consumed by birds before the fruit even got ripe. This time the trees decided to show those pesky birds. They have so many fruit the birds can't eat them all! Problem is, all that fruit makes the branches too heavy. That's a 2 x 4 we have holding up some of the branches.
First Harvest Summer 2013
On May 19 we had our first harvest for the Summer of 2013. We only made a dent in all the peaches, but aimed for the biggest and ripest. Desert peaches usually don't get to be real big, but they ARE good. Peaches the birds got to we sent to the chickens, until they got tired of them. Also got some grape tomatoes, green beans, and some yellow squash.
Sierra in Seattle
Sierra, Sue, Rob and Theresa took a cruise to Alaska this summer. Departing and arriving in Seattle. Sierra took this photo using Theresas phone camera when she wasn't looking. That is the Space Needle in the background.
